CLINTON - Here's the general reaction I've heard since the Oct. 3 announcement that Clinton was selected as one of three pilot cities in the state's Iowa Great Places initiative:
”Congratulations ... how much?“
That's ”How much?“ as in ”How much money is the state going to give us to build all the things we put in the proposal?“
My answer is the same as everyone else on the local Great Places committee: I haven't the foggiest idea.
