Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve day was pretty low key at our house, though Kristie did make a last-minute shopping run that yielded some decent metaphorical fruit. Around 4 p.m. we packed everyone up for the trip to Libertyville so we could have a soup supper before the 7 p.m. church service. As is the tradition over the last couple of years, the boys were able to open two presents — one book and one pair of pajamas. And, unlike in years past, we were on our best behavior, which made for a pleasant evening.
