Meeting Jacob (again)

Friday was a great opportunity for us to again meet Jacob, the seven-month-old son of Kristie's cousin Bethany and her husband, Scott. (Follow their blog here.)

Jacob and our boys are second cousins, and he was born exactly 14 months after Max — yet weighs only about 3 pounds less than the Doodle does at present, hence the look of surprise on Kristie's face right before I took this photo.

We first saw Jake when he was about five weeks old, and again this summer at 4 months. The age and martial status of our siblings leads us to believe it will be a while before our boys have first cousins, so it's really nice we're able to be back in Fulton the same time as Jacob so often.

Now that he's crawling, he and Max have a lot more in common. Kristie loves any and all babies, especially relatives. I work the camera like a paparazzi. Plus, Kristie's cousins will play Wii with Jack, so it's fun for the whole family. A few more photos:

In this shot, Max is more interested in the Wii than Jake. At least he wasn't jealous. Of course, if I was holding Jake, maybe that would change.

How's House is a great place to dump young boys and a bucket of toys on the living room floor.
