For the birds

I made the mistake Friday afternoon of parking my car under a tree outside historic Washington Square (historic because it hosted the first Lincoln-Douglas debate in 1858, which is commemorated with a boulder, plaque, statues and fountain). It also happens to be across Jackson Street from the newspaper office. When I got back out to may car after work Friday night, this is the sight that greeted me:

It's supposed to me about 40 today, so I plan to hit the car wash. Seven or eight times.
